Drain Clogs – 10-22-2010
A Texas GOP candidate (Stephen Broden) is calling for a violent revolution if the midterm elections don’t go the GOP’s way.
“We have a constitutional remedy here and the Framers says if that don’t work, revolution.”
“If the government is not producing the results or has become destructive to the ends of our liberties, we have a right to get rid of that government and to get rid of it by any means necessary,”
It’s funny because he thinks the Constitution calls for a violent revolution. Stephen Broden knows as much of the Constitution as Christine O’Donnell, which is absolutely nothing. As the midterm elections near, it is becoming more and more obvious that the Teabagger Constitution fetish is a giant fraud (something we’ve known for a long time) and they don’t give a flying frak about the Constitution, except the 2nd Amendment. And even then, I’ve seen teabaggers get that amendment number wrong before.
Teabagger Senate candidate Joe Miller (who claims not to be the Teabagger choice) has a goon squad as a personal guard who detain journalists and are linked to militia movements. More militia info.

- ThinkProgress is kicking ass in finding out all the overseas money the US Chamber of Commerce is getting and spending on attack ads against mainly Democratic candidates – $885,000 so far!
- Media Matters interviewed Byron Williams, the guy who got into a gunfight on the highway with police while on his way to murder people in the ACLU and the Tides Foundation after getting the idea from Glenn Beck – “Progressive Hunter”
- People are freaking out about Campbell’s halal soup. The same morons who got upset over Rachel Ray’s scarf.
- How could this have gone wrong?
NEW YORK (AP) — In an effort to rush through thousands of home foreclosures since 2007, financial institutions and their mortgage servicing departments hired hair stylists, Walmart floor workers and people who had worked on assembly lines and installed them in “foreclosure expert” jobs with no formal training, a Florida lawyer says.
In depositions released Tuesday, many of those workers testified that they barely knew what a mortgage was. Some couldn’t define the word “affidavit.” Others didn’t know what a complaint was, or even what was meant by personal property. Most troubling, several said they knew they were lying when they signed the foreclosure affidavits and that they agreed with the defense lawyers’ accusations about document fraud.
- American Family Association blogger Bryan Fischer claimed Jesus wanted the house that burned down because the guy didn’t pay the fire department $75 to burn down. And he’s doubling down on it! Jesus – crazed arsonist???
- Glenn Beck is picking a fight with Donald Duck over some video mashups, even trying to see if they were federally funded by the stimulus! http://tpmlivewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/10/glenn-beck-donald-duck-is-a-government-agent-video.php?ref=fpb
- Nazi Cosplayer, Teabagger, and Congressional Candidate Richard Iott is freaking everyone out and defending his Nazi play. And also defending Nazis – “They were doing what they thought was right for their country.”He’s also a movie producer, including the SciFi Channel fare Yeti: Curse of the Snow Demon! And if you disagree with his Nazi Parties, you’re a Democrat!
- FoxNews has opened FoxNewsLatino! Complete with a Spanish Language Section! And awful puns like La Tea No.

- “Screw you, poor children!” – Wilson Lucom’s widow Hilda Lucom, after suing to get Lucom’s will and it’s donation of millions of dollars to Panama charities declared void.
- Remember during one of the many marches in DC some teabagger sent out a memo telling people not to go on certain subway routes because of black people? Now an actual black person got killed by one of those routes, and the teabagger is a perfect storm of cheering and smugness.
- In case you missed it, “Not a witch” witch Christine O’Donnell has super-maxi-ultra-secret-supreme top secret access to how China is gonna take over the US.
- The US Chamber of Commerce gets lots of money from overseas entities and is blowing the cash on attack ads against Democratic candidates, meaning Christine O’Donnell might be right…except she’s on the side of the foreign takeoverers!
vSharron Angle tried to get one of her opponents to drop out of the race, even trying to offer him future favors with her DC insider mojo….but remember, she’s an outsiders candidate! CrooksandLiars cleared up the audio.
- National Republican Senatorial Committee wanted “a ‘Hicky’ Blue Collar look” for its ad for the West Virginia senate bashing Governor Joe Manchin. They don’t seem to think too highly of their constituents.
“We are going for a ‘Hicky’ Blue Collar look,” read the casting call for the ad, being aired by the National Republican Senatorial Committee. “These characters are from West Virginia so think coal miner/trucker looks.”
“Clothing Suggestions” included jeans, work boots, flannel shirt, denim shirt, “Dickie’s type jacket with t-shirt underneath,” down-filled vest, “John Deer [sic] hats (not brand new, preferably beat up),” “trucker hats (not brand new, preferably beat up).”
- Banks are breaking into homes, changing the locks, stealing stuff, and you can’t do a damn thing about it. USA! USA! USA!! At least Obama is gonna veto the awful awful bill that somehow got passed in the Senate while the unemployment extensions, public option, tax cuts, climate change legislation, and don’t ask all can’t seem to get voted on.
- Lou Dobbs hates the illegals…unless they’re painting his house!

Sarah Palin finally showed up on Dancing with the Stars, got booed.
Crazy Teabagger Nevada Senate Candidate Sharron Angle is on government health care.
Swiftboating Birther Jerome Corsi wants Obama to “Renounce Lucifer”
Tea Party Patriots got a $1 million anonymous donation from someone horrible. Grass roots millionaires! Remember that Tea Party Patriots was the “grassroots” teabagger group formed by Freedomworks and Washington insider Dick Armey, who still secretly run TPP despite claiming not to.
Health insurance companies decide that they aren’t going to insure kids only anymore. Thank goodness we don’t have single payer, because…..uh…socialism, I guess. Little Billy we be happy as he dies since his mom can’t afford to insure both him and herself.
Senator Saxby Chambliss’s staffers spend their days writing hate comments on websites.
Obama and Biden both are trying to shore up the base by insulting them. Thanks a lot, losers, I’ll use my campaign donations elsewhere.

- The recession is over! Party time! Party time! WOOOOoooOOOOooOOO!!!
Wait, everything still sucks! This recession didn’t go anywhere!
- NY-18 GOP candidate Jim Russell used to write white supremacist essays!
It has been demonstrated that finches raised by foster parents of a different species of finch will later exhibit a lifelong sexual attraction toward the alien species. One wonders how a child’s sexual imprinting mechanism is affected by forcible racial integration and near continual exposure to media stimuli promoting interracial contact. The most serious implication of human sexual imprinting for our genetic future is that it would establish the destructiveness of school integration, especially in the middle and high-school years. One can only wonder to what degree the advocates of school integration, such as former NAACP attorney Jack Greenberg, were conscious of this scientific concept. It also compounds the culpability of media moguls who deliberately popularize miscegenation in films directed toward adolescents and pre-adolescents. In the midst of this onslaught against our youth, parents need to be reminded that they have a natural obligation, as essential as providing food and shelter, to instill in their children an acceptance of appropriate ethnic boundaries for socialization and for marriage.
The sociobiological warfare that our youth is subjected to is likely to be even more diabolical since it appears to deliberately exploit a biological theory of sexual imprinting at the critical period of sexual maturity. Movies like this past year’s spate of miscegenationist titles, Save the Last Dance, Crazy / Beautiful and O, a parody of Othello, appear deliberately designed to exploit the critical period of sexual imprinting in their target audiences of white pre-adolescent girls and adolescent young women.
- Bush’s FBI improperly investigated leftist groups, something we all knew but at least it is in report form now even though no one will be punished ever except Lady Liberty.
- “You should thank God” for bank bailouts says Charles Munger, the billionaire vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Ummm….No.
- Let’s hear it for the Lake Crystal newspaper The Tribune that published a racist joke! And by hear it for, I mean tell them to go shove their heads up their butts. Sideways.
- Corporations are people, except for when it comes to suing them for human rights abuses. Then they’re not. Thank you, 2nd Circuit US Court of Appeals! This case concerns families of seven Nigerians who sued Shell in regards to the company backing the government in doing violent crackdowns against oil exploration, executing the Nigerians. Also check this:
However, Shell Nigeria acknowledges it has made little human-rights progress with respect to the Joint Task Force, an army-navy-police organization the federal government deploys to patrol the maze of creeks, inlets, and mangrove swamps that make up the Niger Delta. This much-feared force has a well-earned reputation for brutality. In early 2005, for example, the Joint Task Force, responding to an attack on government officials near Odioma, killed 17 residents and burned the town to the ground.

- America is poor as hell. Thank you Republicans and awful Democrats. Class warfare, people!
- In a battle between Lady Gaga and John McCain, I choose Lady Gaga!
- Holy blast from the past (for me)! A long time ago (circa 2005-6) I used to make fun of this dude on the internet named Hans Zeiger who was totally into the Boy Scouts to the point where he probably wore his scout uniform as underwear. He wrote for WorldNetDaily and then eventually dropped off the face of the Earth after appearing in a Penn and Teller Bullshit episode. And now he’s a candidate for State House in Washington!
- Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell got ticked off at the reports of gas protestors being included in the Homeland Security reports and terminated it. Good job, Rendell! The Institute of Terrorism Research and Response was the company doing all the reporting and their website is scary, with lots of military imagery and a giant owl face. And chess.
- Speaking of the Homeland Security Reports, friend of the site and fellow goon tacodaemon caught Foxnation.com lying about Tea Parties being on the lists and sent it into Media Matters, who put up an article about it.
- Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are going to hold dueling rallies in DC on October 30th. Expect the Teabaggers to cry and whine like the babies they are. Stewart’s rally will be the “Rally to Restore Sanity”, while Colbert’s is the “March to Keep Fear Alive”
- Former chair of the Florida Republican Party Jim Greer apologizes about calling Obama a socialist.
I wanted to send you my thoughts about the Obama speech to kids …
“In the year since I issued a prepared statement regarding President Obama speaking to the Nation’s school children, I have learned a great deal about the party I so deeply loved and served. Unfortunately, I found that many within the GOP have racist views and I apologize to the President for my opposition to his speech last year and my efforts to placate the extremists who dominate our Party today. My children and I look forward to the President’s speech.”Jim Greer
- A former military contractor stole millions of dollars??? Totally shocked here. Actually, I am shocked, as this guy’s going to jail!
- A new site has popped up guaranteeing you all the latest horrible and offensive comments from FOXNews.com. Introducing Fox News Comments.com!
- At a press conference at the Yelp headquarters in San Francisco, Meg Whitman (California governor hopeful and record-breaking campaign self financier) was asked by an audience member why she continues to run false and deliberately misleading campaign ads. Watch Whitman’s pathetically floundering response on Crooks And Liars!
- The Teabaggers made a float with Obama whipping a white guy, and probably grumbled while they were building it about how everyone thinks their racist for no reason at all!

- D.C. Douglas has a new video out about the Koran burning:
- The Republicans are running homeless people on the Green Party to siphon off votes from the Democrats. This guy Steve May was on NPR defending this yesterday and he claimed he was friends with all these homeless people and they were real. He also wants to sell you a bridge in Brooklyn.
- Arizona governor Jan Brewer can’t debate, but she sure can take $1.5 million from Timothy Mellon, a Wyoming millionaire to help defend her SB1070 law
- Wifebeating racist cartoonist Mike Lester (who has been featured here as a Cartoon of the Day a few times) has gone all legal threats happy on a fellow cartoonist who dared to call Lester the racist he is!

re: your hilarious and insane threat to sue me
I appreciate your alerting me that my comments are being monitored. I am not sure if you are aware of this, but that is generally what people hope happen to their comments when they are posted on a website on the internet. I am glad to hear you are also in possession of previous blog entries. I too have internet access.
As a professional courtesy, please consider spelling my name correctly when delivering any future baseless and ludicrous threats because your feelings were hurt. As a personal favor, please stop making racist, ignorant and illogical cartoons.

- Iowa For Freedom is ticked over the gay marriage in Iowa and is trying to get a bunch of judges yanked. They are even lying about support from former SCOTUS judges to do it.
- The Koran burning is on-again, off-again, with the tiny church pastor Terry Jones saying he’s not going to do it because the community center got moved, the community center not knowing what he’s talking about, and Donald Trump wandering in. And Fred Phleps is claiming he’ll burn Korans if the other guy chickens out. Who knows??? We’ll see tomorrow if things go up in flames.
At Politisink, we agree the church has the right to burn the Korans because free speech is awesome, but free speech also gives us the right to call this shenanigan damn dumb. Because it is damn dumb.
- Wonkette does our job for us (because Wonkette gets paid to do it, while we just update during lunch or after work) and posts a bunch of posts from wackos on Sarah Palin’s Facebook page that disagree with her on the Koran burning.
- Our friends at Resistnet.com have freaked out over the Koran burning, by deleting every post that mentions it and even shutting down chat in an effort to stem the calls for Muslim Final Solutions that are appearing all over the site, probably because they know we’re watching them. Because we are. At the same time, the Resistnet Admins are going to New York with a petition to try to get the Community Center moved.
- Already read Over the Cliff? Think American Taliban was keen? Enjoy people writing about how the Teabaggers are a bunch of suckers? Than this book (The Backlash by Will Bunch) might be interesting, but I haven’t read it yet so who knows?
- Being in San Bruno when it explodes is not as fun as you might think. But Tanforan Mall stayed open extra hours for those of us trapped in traffic as the mountain nearby burned from the gas pipe explosion. At least 4 are dead and 38 homes completely destroyed with hundreds damaged.

The CEO of Stardock is a crazed Wingnut who publishes pseudo-white nationalist fan fiction as official novels for their video games. More here:
So Stardock CEO, Brad Wardell, wrote a book about a group of heroes building a fence to keep olive-skinned and dark-skinned antagonists out of a continent…
Glenn Beck has started his own HuffPo ripoff site, TheBlaze.com. The best part of this is that it will probably kill Tucker Carlson’s DailyHowler, but FoxNation.com will still putter along. TheBlaze.com allows comments, so expect it to show up on a Wingnut Web once free time becomes something I have.
Ohio thinks Puerto Rico is a foreign country.
Now that the teabaggers have restored honor they can go back to having sex with children. Ohio again? Constitution Party candidate Eric Deaton is the guy’s name.
Retired Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney has gone Birther, and is now supporting court martialed birther Lt. Col. Terry Lakin. McInerney works for FoxNews, who will undoubtedly fire him. And by fire him, I mean have him on much more!
Another Gulf Oil rig exploded. That North Korean sub has been busy!
